athletics, Boys Varsity Football · Dutchtown gets it done with 28-14 win over Union Grove

#5 CB for the Bulldogs out there eatin’ after the Pick 6. It’s called bad table manners to some but you gotta pick your teeth when you score on the defensive side of the ball.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

The Dutchtown Varsity Football team improved their record to 2-3 (1-1) with a 28-14 win over Union Grove on October 9, 2020.  The Bulldogs overcame an early deficit –  as well as some wet weather – to come away with the W.  It was a night where Fall Athletics and Band were on display, recognizing the 2021 Seniors (and family members) who represent The Dutchtown Family to the fullest.

Dutchtown is tied for third in region play (1-1).  A win against Eagle’s Landing (0-4, 0-1) on 10/23 would give the Bulldogs a 2-1 region and 3-3 overall record. With 5 games left to play, the Bulldogs are right in the thick of things.

An upcoming bye week could prove beneficial for a ball club that’s on the peak of finding its identity on the offensive side of the ball.  The downtime will allow players to rest and hit the books before heading into Game 3 of region play.  The Bulldogs’ defense is giving up the lowest amount of points (73) during the first five games in the Region.  Tough to put up points against these young men.  Come out and support the Bulldogs… every BARK counts!
